The thing with Asher is that he raps about stuff that people can relate to, unlike other rappers who just rap about girls and money. While Gillie Da Kid did do a bulk of writing for Cash Money as a company…you are talking about 2 Lil Wayne verses (Aint It Man & Southern Boy), and 1 track (Get Down)…so Gillie did make it to be alot bigger than it was. If anything, I think he played in integral part in training Wayne how to write better, with a more comfortable flow – so I give him credit on that. But, Wayne has wrote a bulk of his newer more advanced material on his own, and now writes for others….so you can’t discredit lil’ homie like that. Now, BEST ALIVE…I’m definitely not with that…but one of the most improved in the last 5-6 years — yea, I can definitely can get down with that.
