Curtis and Graduation Flop on The Second Week

After debuting at No. 1 last week, Kanye West’s Def Jam album “Graduation†falls to No. 2 with 226,000, a sales slide of 76%. 50 Cent’s “Curtis†does nearly the same, slipping 2-3 with 143,000 (-79%).
Wow, I knew the numbers would go down the second week but not by 80 percent, I was certain 50 Cent was going to out do Kanye West in the second week. This was great for hip hop in the first week but even our two biggest artist still fell victim to staggering record sales. 50 Cent is still not platinum his first week, I guess we will how these two make out for the 3rd week.

ay man, you shoulda known that kanye west was gonna win. I know you was hopin, but it wasn’t gonna happen. Kanye West appeals to a much wider expansion of peeople and he is universally respected. Plus %) made an ass outta himself especially when he was on 106 dissin jay-z and everything. and I thought he was gonna retire if he lost? what happened to that?
