Hip Hop vs America Part 2 (Heated Debate)
This is one of the best shows I’ve seen BET put on in a long time, it was a very heated debate I feel they over complicated many of the topics but it’s definitley worth watching check out more debate below.

That was such a good session. I did not get an opportunity to see this show on BET. Now that I’ve seen these clips, it makes me wish I had. I honestly wish critics would stop acting like we are forcing women to be in front of the camera in these various videos, and I am a woman! I am not going to rant or vent, but at the end of the day it all bowls down to an individual choice.

I watched the debate and I liked it. Nelly was making some REALLY good points. The one thing I agreed with was the fact that in artists lyrics I know that they are talking about me. Since I know they are not talking about me, I take no offense to what the MCs are saying. Also I agreed with Nelly when they were talking about the Tip Drill video, which was, what the hell are parents doing allowing their children to be awake at 3 o’clock in the morning??!?!?! Don’t they have school the next day or something?

I watched the debate tonight and I truly enjoy watching this debate. Some of our people made valid points; but I totally disagree on the comment that was made tonight that our black women are blinded by the church. I disagree with that comment; I do believe that people should watch the church they affiliate themselves with and you cannot judge all churches and all women for other women mistakes. The person who made that comment basically stated that our black women or weak. Its all about teaching and your mind set. The down fall is many women are looking for help and end in the wrong places. It takes more tn a church to blind a women. The question is are you willing to help that lost women when you see her? Or do you just pass your judegment and pass on by. Any man can pass judgement but it takes a strong man to help the situation!!! I know you can’t do it by yourself but are you trying.

Just wondering who the woman was married to. The one who claimed that her husband “was one of the greatest Hip-Hop artists of all time.” Does anyone know?
I also reckon the argument against Hip-Hop was ridiculous. People like Nelly aren’t Hip-Hop – they’re r&b/pop.
