Jay-Z Goes Independent

Doug and I spoke directly and had one of the most unique “negotiations” ever. Doug won the toss but, we both won in the end. I thank him for allowing me to be a completely independent artist. Not every artist can say they own or are given the opportunity to own all of their music.

I’ve been saying this for about 2 years now, these major record label’s days are numbered. Just look at artist Soulja Boy, Drake, Kid Dudi, Charles Hamilton and Niki Minaj, there is only one thing responsible for there current buzz and success and that’s the Internet. No amount a marketing dollars from a record label could have done that all you need is buzz and a manager these days to get it poppin. It’s not like album sales are a big deal anymore what really matters is that your doing shows.

    2. Hallelujah! Finally somebody who agrees! Jay need to take his old ass somewhere and have a seat. He don’t even be spittin fire the way he used to. He had his run and its time to step aside and make room for the new era. Tell him to take his robot, no personality having wife with him!
