Jay-Z’s “The Blueprint 3″ Sells 476,000 Records In It’s First Week

With all things considered that’s not bad, especially when the album sprung a leak almost a month before it’s release date. In somewhat related news Raekwon’s, “Only Built 4 Cuban Linx Pt. 2,” debuts with 68,000 records sold, which was released independently.

“That’s Not Bad” are you serious? Lil Wayne just sold over 1 million his first week. Then you say Raekwon sold 68 thousand to distract the readers and make Jay’s 450 thousand look good..JayZ’s Multi Platnium album days are over!! He’s 42 years old..he can’t relate to the new generation youth..Eminem lost it a bit too.. but his album still hit the No. 1 slot on the Billboard 200. He sold 608,000 in its first week, it not only nets the biggest sales week of the year for any album, but the best since AC/DC’s “Black Ice” began with 784,000 copies last October. So Im thinking Jay Z need’s to follow the steps of Micheal Jordan and retire gracefully. His deed has been done.

wow man slow down. you have to realize lil wayne is about making money not producing quality music. yeah his shits new n seriously i bump it everyday but u cant be hating on one of the most predominant rappers in the game. jayz got deep lyrics n his beats are the best. yea tru he is 42 but its also tru his shit is legit as it could ever be.

Wow what an Idiot. You ever even consider the fact that lil wayne released the carter 3 before the recession even started? Albums that could have potentially been 1st week millionaires are now reduced to hundreds of thousands of Records. And If I’m listening to Jay-z at 17, it doesn’t seem like he really lost touch with the youth now has he? And the Raekwon information distracting? Damn, maybe people want to know how raekwon did lol
