Lil Mama at only at 17 years old from Brooklyn, NY already has her first hit single “Lip Gloss” of her debut album titled “Voice Of The Young People”, she is signed to signed to Jive records and should be dropping her album in the third quarter. Lip Gloss produced by James Grove is currently bumping on the radio and has quickly creating a big buzz.
Lip Gloss is one of those hip hop tracks that has kiddie sounds to it with lyrics that remind you of high school. It’s a simple song but it’s simplicity is what makes it hot. Don’t get Lip Gloss twisted, she’s a younging but she can spit, for instance the Jay-Z “Show Me What You Got” freestyle she did was crazy, I have that for you guys soon.

When I first heard it, I also felt it was in the same vein as Chicken Noodle Soup. But, after seeing the video and hearing her “no music” part, I think it was just supposed to be a fun song and she actually has talent.
