you should lay off him. hes backing a rapper who has made a huge difference in the game. nelly was a hugely influential person in rap over the last ten years. He had talent which is more than I can say for the vast majority of rappers today.

nelly is killing hip hop. he is not “influential” just because he has sold records. and the comment about talent, i could go on and on about better rappers that dont sell nearly as many records. lupe, talib, the roots, mos def, clipse, papoose, devin the dude, chamillionaire, even the Greatest MC of all time, NAS has sold less than nelly. the point im making is talent doesnt go hand in hand with success and nelly is just another commercial rapper who adds to the steriotype that hip hop is ignorant music.
