Well we’ve heard Lil Wayne give hints about going the Rock route at the end of the Dedication 3 mixtape, so it’s no big surprise that Drake also confirmed that Lil Wayne will be dropping a Rock album and Drake will be featured on it. Who knows if Let It Rock is any indication of what’s coming then it might be a good album. It seems like all rappers are experimenting with there craft.
Homegrown rapper Drake told MuchNews in an exclusive interview that he will be appearing on Lil’ Wayne’s upcoming rock album. “Wayne’s coming out with a new album, it’s a rock album,” he said. “A complete rock album. I have a song on there.” “It’s something different in just that whole 808’s and Hearbreaks, just throwing individuals off.”

Wait this isn’t labeled as a rock track right? this ain’t anywhere near a rock/hip-hop song, this is straight hip-hop, I’m feeling this track.
I say Wayne should try and fuck with it, no one in the rock world is going to take him seriously, but I’m sure he’ll get some good collaborations. In the rock world a rapper can never be a ‘true rock artist’ so Wayne might do good with the mainstream, but he won’t be looked at as a rocker, just a rapper trying rock. I think he should go for it though.

i hate Let It Rock but i like how he is one of the few artists who mixes styles unlike 50 “ive been using the same raps for 5 years now” Cent.

i think weezy shud go for it, let it rock was fire and hot revolver is a sick song that shud get a music video. he can pretty much do any style of music and get away with it cos his fans will buy evrything he releases

It’s not even rock! Green Day… Is rock. This shit sound like the usual creative Wayne. Wayne shouldn’t jump to far out though. That shit don’t work. Ask Kanye West.
