Everyone who says 50 and Banks are losing the BEEF to the fat CO is inbred and does not deserve to spread their stupidity online. Not trying to defend 50 and Banks all hardcore about it, it's just people post comment like
"trash"
"g-unot"
"this is weak ross is winning"
The people posting that garbage have some sort of BIAS against 50 and Banks and can't give a legit reason for why exactly mr ricky is winning the BEEF.

the track was tight but banks need more then this to be anybody in my eye. To me he just a sidekick, once he step from up under 50 and do his own thing then maybe I will tune but as far as the best rapper .. um no, banks is lyrical but of course he would shyne on a nigg like ross comon mane, Ross is just a chew toy.

Its not about it being fair, I think it's just about business moves. When you move with Dr. Dre you get that worldwide appeal. 50 Made moves with the right people. Sure Cassidy and Jadakiss are more lyrical but are their songs better? GRODT had very good songs on it. Its not about dumbass people. 50 Cent made a hit in GRODT then followed it up with smart business moves. His albums following were not classics, duh. They were alright but the money goes to the dude that hustles the hardest, and 50 grinds the hardest. Given that he was in the right place, right time, and seized the opportunities he deserved his shine.

@ Jessica Rabbit
You can not judge the skill of the artist by just album sales alone. I mean im not hatin on Soulja Boy but hes no where near the lyrical supremacy of 50 or Jay Z or Nas or even half the artists underground. Ill give it to Wayne, he had a good run Tha Carter III was a smash album, but he is turning people off with some of his music lately. The Rock genre is not a good look for Weezy. Auto-tune is way overused as well. And another thing is the Wayne is making himself a 4th leg artist. A fourth leg artist is someone who comes on a song to hold the song up, like the 4th leg of a table. Making your name as a "featuring" artist is something 50 has never done. Personally I believe some of these new emerging artists such as SKYZOO and WALE are 3 times better than Wayne, but we'll see...

I see now. 50 Probably deaded you from being in one of his videos or some ish. You're a video girl, a wannabe model, you're the back up girls that rappers disrespectfully laugh at, poke, prod treat like meat, and use for their videos most times girls like you don't even get paid and they probably take you back to their hotels aftewards. How can you go on hiphop sites and discredit the people who have made history when you officially play the lowest caliber position IN the entire music industry?
And how can you say 50 Cent had 15 Minutes of fame? He's been around and successful since 03 that is NOT 15 minutes! 15 Minutes is the dorito girl, 15 minutes is bikini girl on american idol, 15 minutes of fame is one hit wonders (MIMS is going for that). And you say his fans are trying to keep him relevant? Jesus Christ don't be ridiculous- People with endless money like 50 Cent could EASILY PAY for fame. If he wanted to be forever famous till his death. Publicity is either generated by a few good moves but mostly MONEY. He could retire right now and have more money than you might ever see in your life. The dude could dissapear for 10 Years, and come back and pay off a few huge magazines and be relevant once again. You're like a harsh critic without facts, credentials, or even experience. All you have to tout are a few tits and ass out wannabe model pictures and a desire to be as famous as the people you critique. Get outta here with that bullshit. You express your opinion like its so high, but based on what? You're no different from the million other girls showing some T&A. You're no hip hop historian, you're not an artist, you're not a lyricist, not a writer, nothing. All you are is a scantily clad girl who googled some information and tried to discredit one of the biggest names in hip-hop. Your posts have to be the most hilarious bullshit reads I've seen in a while. You're not even in the same playing field as a qualified critic, let alone the artist themselves. Acting like 50 or ANY of these artists are struggling while they sit on multi millions and you comment from your computer behind a few photos and a dream of being another vida guerra or melissa ford at best. LOL It makes me laugh I swear.

How can you say that 50 Cent is irrellevant to making money in the music industry. Most of his money does come from other ventures, but they just announced recently that he's the highest paid entertainer behind oprah winfrey. His first two albums did more than Kanye West and Lil Wayne combined. I take no credit from Kanye West, Kanye is more skilled muscially. Lil Wayne is OK. I don't get what you're trying to do "Jessica Rabbit" All you did was present numbers supporting the other artists, but not numbers supporting 50 Cent. If you want to be unbiased and objective POST BOTH OF THEIR SALES UP. POST HOW MUCH MONEY 50 Cent brought in 2008 (150 million because of the vitamin water deal). You are a hater period. How can you say 50 cent is irrelevant in the industry in making music and making money. He's got some of the highest sales ever recorded and has made more money in shorter time than all the people you listed! Lil Wayne has been out longer than 50 Cent, 50 came out in 2003, took over the rap game, and then spread out his business to other ventures. Ya'll are delusional trying to discredit what this man has done. Saying its irrelevant, what planet do YOU live on? If his moves are irrelevant what is Lil Waynes? What are Kanyes? They haven't sold as much as him yet, they havent made as much money as him yet either. You went on the billboards site and posted up a bunch of numbers failing to post up 50's numbers and 50's sales. When it comes to 50 Cent vs Lil Wayne-50 Sold more in one album than lil wayne has his entire career. 50 Cent vs Kanye West: Again 50 sold more in one album than kanye has in his whole career. Money? When you want to talk about money why would you even bring up 50 Vs wayne or Kanye? You're talking about: Lil’ Wayne and Kanye West have made Billboard’s Top 20 “Music Money Makers List” of 2008 with combined earnings of $100 million. Well 50 Cent is on FORBES as number one raking in more than BOTH of them at 150 million! Look it up! Im sure you know this info. In your first post it looks like you skipped people all the way down to "No 12" LOL I wonder who you skipped. Simpleton. Don't make arguments when you haven't clearly researched the info. When you state something you don't only show one side of information. You intentionally tried to discredit 50 Cent once again. You're on like every site trying to bring down 50 and telling his fans, co-workers, or associates that he's a nobody and he's irrellevant. FACE FACTS you're the nobody. And why comment on a Ross vs 50 thing? Ross aint seeing ANYONE in G-Unit on sales except maybe Yayo. 50 Haters are so funny, its like they know but act like they don't know.

Banks is so lyrically inclined....It is his time to shine now b/c fitty is passing the torch after his next album. Look out for banks for years to come. I don't anyone an truly hang with him lyrically right now, and if you haven't listened to the PLK, Halloween Havoc, or The Cold Corner mixtapes then your opinion is completely irrelevant. RIP Officer Ricky. I told everyone he was garbage to begin with. Who does he think he is comparing himself to Biggie. Fuck him, fuck khaled, and fuck wayne too. Waitin for that 3 headed monster.
to people arguing about sales and all..the people who are buying records...wayne's or 50s..are not affected by the reccesion..for instance high school kids still lining up to buy the newest jordans..the recession affects home owners..middle class america and the poor..not the majority of who is buying the album..most of them are probably groupies to begin with and probably 30% that do it b/c its good content and want to support the artist...sales are irrelevant to quality of a product.soulja boy had a mill downloads.. so he must be one of the best rappers alive right?

Man I dont like 50 or wayne but i respect the money they make. I dont think that them making that much is fair to artists like Jadakiss or Cassidy who would dominate both of them lyrically but you gotta respect it and thats due to dumbass people who think they are so great but theres nothing that can be done about that. On that note, hip hop is making its way back to being good again... cant wait for that Slaughterhouse joint to drop!

Hence why his last album is called Before I Self Destruct.

The G-Unit album was a group album and not 50 Cent's energy, I mean look at the promo around that album , you never saw 50 Cent in any of the interviews or radio station appearances. He was out promoting his movie instead of promoting the album. The purpose of that album was to really give some relevance to Lloyd Banks and Yayo. 50 Cent's relevance does not equal group relevance. And at a certain level I don't think 50 Cent care about the music as much as he use to because he's in a different space now, I mean he came out 03 and by 08 he's almost at a half billion, the same thing with Jay-Z there motivation has change music is secondary to them now.

The same thing will happen with Lil Wayne's Young Money album but of course the Carter 4 will still do well even is the group album doesn't. Once Lil Wayne gets to a certain level of success he's going to put music on the back burner to pursue other venture. It's the Hip Hop way to diversify you can't stay on top musically forever.

Reply to Chozen Masters

I made it very clear in my reply to you that you are entitled to your opinion, so with that being said I am not going to bash you for that; however, I was a little concerned that you focused solely on bootlegging in your reply to me.

I am very much aware that people who support an artist will definitely go out and by his or her album instead of bootlegging it, I do the same, but you must think about the people who may not be able to afford the CD, they are going to go and get it for a cheap $5.00, you know what I mean. They may be just as big of a fan as both me and you.

I am sure that Lil Wayne will make it to 11 or 12 million as Outkast and 50 cent did, he’s very diverse and has a lot of fans among different age groups and race. When its good music, even years from now people will still buy the album, I am very much aware of this as well.

I have all of the mixtapes that Lil Wayne put out and believe me I too know that they left a lot of great songs off The Carter III, one of my favorites that I feel should have made the album is the song titled “I’m Me.”

You make valid points in your reply, but you said and I quote: “As a fan I’m also entitled to being a critic of the artists I invest my time into listening to.” I certainly do not have a problem with you critiquing any artist that you write about, but to take the shine away from another is just not right in my opinion, you see, give credit when credit is due.

It seems to me that you are a huge fan of 50 cent and you have the right to be, but I and you both know that G-Unit did not even push 250,000 units last summer, that is why it is now rumors circulating that G-Unit is no more, again that is just a rumor so do not quote me on that. 50 cent is trying his best to stay relevant, and his fans are trying to keep him relevant as well which is okay, but hey all artists have his or her 15 minutes of fame before they Self Destruct. There is a message in the last paragraph.

First off let me be clear, my fav mainstream artist include 50 Cent, Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, T.I. Fabolus, Kany West and a few others not in that particular order. As a fan I'm also entitled to being a critic of the artists I invest my time into listening to.

That being said I think Lil Wayne is making some of the best music in the game right now but I also think some of the best music didn't make the album which is why it can't be considered a classic.

You can blame the album sales on file sharing, bootlegging, the recession etc. Or you can blame on the hip hop culture and the fact that the culture has lost faith in artist that give them sub par content. File sharing and bootleging have been in full effect since 2000 and that didn't stop 50 from selling 12 million in 2003 and and 11 million worldwide on his second album in 2005 in which he sold a million his first week. Lets not forget Outkast that sold 11 million on the Speakerboxxx/The Love Below album.

People will still buy the music if it's good, retail just doesn't work anymore. I haven't bought a cd since 2003.

It's not the climate it's the content, it's not as good as it use to be.

Lets step out side Hip Hop for a second lets take a look a group called Nine Inch Nails. Just last year they realesed an album independently for free download and ended up selling a million copies by offereing deluxe packages, what? Why would someone still buy the album when they already have it for free? Because they love the music and want to support the artist directly and not label or marketing technique. A year before that Radiohead did the same exact thing, you see the community surrounding there genre of music still enjoy the music to the point where paying for it is not an issue, this was just last year and the recession was already in full effect.

The hip hop culture just does enjoy or support the music as much as they use to because it's just not as good as it's suppose to be in order to generate sales. Man do you remember the 90s? Hip Hop was so great.

I mean just take a llok at R&B why is there a longer list of succeful R&B artists right now than Hip Hop? Because R&B is still goood....

Man I have never put this much effort in a comment before, lol.

You sre entitled to your opinion; however, me and you both know that during the time of a recession, all artists are feeling the pinch, thus emplying that The Carter III is doing very well for times like these. I mean think about it, in 1991 there was no such thing as burning CD's, infact to have a CD was like having a luxury item. People were actually going out to purchase music instead of burning it in 1991. I am sure that individuals have bootlegged The Carter III and it still remains in the top 20 and now the top 10. You are working with this site; therefore, you must give credit where credit is due, it is not good to take the shine from an artist because of personal feelings. I think you would know that Mr. Chozen Masters, let's not forget that they are placing Lil Wayne in the Top Money Makers in music. That is awesome that he is making money even in the recession. Don't you think?

Yeah I read it right, check it out....

"Tha Carter III’s ascension to the top of the year-end sales chart is significant primarily because it marks the first time since Nielsen Soundscan began tracking sales in 1991 that the best-selling album of a calendar year has moved less than 3 million copies"

Less than 3 million copies, since 1991. That's a industry low for the best album of the year to only move 2.88 million copies.

Oh yeah, added I added little reply feature to make things easier.....:)

@ Chozen Masters

Tha Carter III, rapper Lil Wayne’s latest, sold almost 3 million copies last year making it the best-selling album of 2008. With total sales of 2.88 million copies, Tha Carter III’s ascension to the top of the year-end sales chart is significant primarily because it marks the first time since Nielsen Soundscan began tracking sales in 1991 that the best-selling album of a calendar year has moved less than 3 million copies. (Live Daily)

You Said, and I quote: "Jessica paragraph 3 is not a good thing if you talking about good performing albums that’s the worst of the best since 1991."

****If you can read or maybe you are not reading it right, it is bacically saying that The Carter III is the best selling album since 1991, breaking records to be exact. Yeah he's even beating out your boy 50 cent, not mention the album has made it's way back into the top 10 on the R&B & Hip-Hop albums on the billboard charts this week go and see for yourself. I am not hating, I have no reason to hate, this is facts from my folks, if you want more I will give you more.

Jessica paragraph 3 is not a good thing if you talking about good performing albums that's the worst of the best since 1991.

And you can't judge a rappers relevance just the sales made in a calendar year, what Weezy is achieving on his third attempt 50 Cent achieved in his first times 3, well actually it's over 11,000,000 sold world wide now. Jay-Z hasn't dropped an album in two years that doesn't mean he's not relevant. The same thing goes for 50 Cent he might not have made any money selling records last year but that still doesn't change the fact that he's #2 on the Forbes list for richest entertainers in the world second to only Oprah. I mean it doesn't get anymore relevant than that.

And what do you be by accredited website? is that suppose to be a shot to me and my site which is actually a blog? I don't have time to delete comments do you know comments I get daily.

If you post a comment with a link in it gets picked up by the spam system not me just like any other popular blog.

No hard feelings though.....

And why come to a blog you don't like?

5 time Grammy-winning rappers Lil’ Wayne and Kanye West have made Billboard’s Top 20 “Music Money Makers List” of 2008 with combined earnings of $100 million.

At No. 1 is Madonna with $242,176,466. Lil’ Wayne comes in at No. 12 with $57,441,334. Mary J. Blige follows behind at No. 19 with $43,472,850. Closing out the Top 20 is Kanye West with $42,552,402. (Billboard)

Grammy-winning rapper Lil’ Wayne’s Tha Carter III received a three spot boost moving to No. 22 with 20,200 copies. After 35 weeks in stores, Weezy’s latest project has sold 2,985,100 pieces.

Now all these 50Cent Homostans will now realize their hero is irrelevant when it comes to the music industry and money being made in this industry.

I picked this up from my peeps, who I am currently working with over at an accredited website. I would post the website but hiphopmusic would then erase this comment, I’m sure you guys have been to the site though.
Just thought I would share this with you.
