Ok at first it was funny (really), we all laughed at the expense of someone who is obviously going something that most people can’t relate to we all just laugh and criticize (including me) because that’s what people do, Maia is a very troubled individual and reacting a way that most people who don’t know how to deal with their emotions and end up falling victim to circumstances.
Maybe it was the death of her mom or maybe it’s something else that placed her on the road to disaster.
I’ve received a vast amount of hits due to the expense of someone who might actually die from what she is doing or from what we as bloggers, columnists and gossipers are saying about her. So I’ve decided to take the high road this time and not say anything else negative about this subject subject.

First of all she is not on crack, she was just acting silly, singing and having fun. This is what we all do in our private moments. I act as silly as her and I am always sober and people are saying that she is naked on the video, well she is not naked, everything is covered. The person who filmed it was just clever enough to make us believe that she is naked and she still has all her senses because when the guy tryed to get her naked in front of the camera she said loud and clear: HELL NO, I DON’T DO PORN…..so believe me Maia campbell is just fine.

If you want to help Maia post something good about her OR tell us how mental illness affects you. AND remember mental illness can creep up on anyone at any age, who knows? this may be you tomorrow. It is hard to belive she is addicted to crack when everyone of these videos and pictures show her with nails/toes done…and nice jewelry..plus all of t he media stories say they received no response when they left messages on her cell phone. I’ve seen some crackheads closer than I wish and none of them but a cell phone bill before crack. None of them could keep jewelry ot get their nails and toes done. Yes she might be bipolar, yes she might be depressed but I seriously doubt she is cracked out. And yes she might be ok…and these may be flicks and pics that she did for her man….no one truly knows but Maia. I just pray that she is ok and if not that she is now getting the help she needs. Us ridiculing her isn’t the way to go….no one can Judge her…I am sure you all have your own demons/skeletons hiding deep in your closet….think if they got out…..

i know Maia personally and she is NOT on drugs she’s very sick, and to those of you who suggest why won’t someone help her like LL (ie) its hard to help someone who is in deniel about thier mental illness, its hard to help someone who refuse to take meds
trust me anyone that is close to her has tried to help including her mom and including me

you can’t controll someone who is delusional and erraic most people leave or take advantage of her

I have queit a few eperience with the Star Diva Maia at at a karaoke show and I realized that she is definitely having some mental illness issue “Bipolar” and drinking and maybe a few common party drugs. HOWEVER, this young lady is sick and the peopleof the world should be this way. Loosiin MOM can make ur mind snap more so just to think if you were already emotional unbalanced with life thatsure can make the mental worse/just pray that is be okay. It was very sad 2 me the behavior I saw – i from then wanted to be a nurse. she was running froom her friends, yellin, laughin, singing, just alot at one time. I made sure she kept her clothes in tact…helped as this is not NOT funny – its a cry for help with out knowing how to cope with help.

okay,well as i was getting out of my car, this estranged woman with no pants on nor any shoes ran up to me and asked if she could use my phone so she could call her girlfriend. then this estranged woman began telling me about how she let the drugs and streets take over her. then she said how she was admitted into insanesylums frequently because people thought she was crazy. then i looked at her and i was like u favor maia campbell. and she started crying and im like uuh ok… and she was like thats me.. and i was like WOW. she was like i just try to get fast money so i can take care of my daughter. and i was like soooo shocked. like wow u were really pretty at one point. now ur really skinny. and just sad. sad. sad.

To everyone visiting this site and viewing the video of Maia Campbell: we don’t know the circumstances of the video, so stop making judgments.And stop saying that she’s fine; she’s not. She may or may not be on drugs, I don’t know. However, it has been stated that she has a mental illness, bipolar disorder and/or schizophrenia, both illnesses are very serious and make you “crazy”/ act out of character. So please, do a bit more research before you poke fun at someone you don’t know; and don’t just assume they are “fine” without all of the facts.

I just watched a video of Maia “in a drug induced rant in Compton” I feel bad about her situation but I especially feel ashamed that this video demonstrates just how ignorant and self destructive some of our black people are. To witness these black men as parasites in their own community participating in the degradation and destruction of such a beautiful black women who is obviously in need of help is disgraceful.
