I tell you what man. In California as well as other states, if a felon is convicted with a weapons charge (especially having priors with the same charge), it ain’t gonna be a slap on the hand. Now I just got out on a weapon charge. I was looking at 1 YEAR minimum. It was only my 1st offense. I hired a lawyer and it being my 1st offense and them NOT reading my rights, I served 45 days and 3 year probation. I have no felony because the p.o. charged it as a misdemeanor. T.I. IS A 7-TIME FELON WITH MULTIPLE GUN AND DRUG PRIORS. IN CALI AT LEAST, HE WOULD’VE BEEN FACING LIFE. HIS 3 STRIKES WOULD’VE BEEN DONE N GONE. MONEY TALKS BUT THE JUDICIAL SYSTEM CAN ONLY BE SO LINIENT. TYPE IN “CLIFFORD HARRIS” ON USA.GOV AND IT WILL SHOW YOU HIS PLEA AGREEMENT FROM THE ATTORNEY GENERAL OF GEORGIA. IN IT, IT SAYS “IF HE ABIDES BY HIS 1500 hr. COMMUNITY SERVICE AND $100,000 FINE AS EXPECTED, PLUS ‘OTHER’ OBLIGATIONS OF HIS PLEA AGREEMENT, T.I. WILL FACE 1 YEAR AND 1 DAY IMPRISONMENT”. Bullshit. Federal mandatory minimum would be at LEAST 10-15. Do the math and research y’all… …did i mention his youtube commercial for Crimestoppers Atlanta and testifying for the state in a homicide case in ‘06? c-mon.
