His hotly anticipated return to hip-hop after a long absence drove first-week sales of over 600,000 — the highest first-week sales of the year so far. But then Em retreated to the lab, where he spent the summer crafting Relapse 2. From June to September, Em all but took himself out of the public eye, while other MCs generated week-to-week heat with mixtapes, guest appearances, performances and Web activity. Eminem is one of the best ever on the mic. His track record is undeniable. The Hottest list deals with right now, though. If the Brain Trust had compiled the Hottest list back in May, there’s no doubt Eminem would have made the Top 10.

Em needs to get back on his grind, he’s starting to put albums out like dre, one every 3 years. i know ima get some heat for this one but i think the list is good as it is.

so they based their top 10 on appearances….WTF. So appearances matter more than lyrics…this is how you know that list was BULLSHIT. A real top 10 can only be made through fan votes

this makes sense, all of the mcs on the list guest on tracks, EM has been on nobodys track, the only track he has been on is Forever, and plus his new album wasn’t that good.

now eminem is all over the place doing cyphers for bet concerts and now performing at a music award plus another album agree with the dude Sexual Chocolate they should put hottest mc at the moment not 2009 because last time i checked relapse came out May 2009 not 08 07 and out sold most them artist on the list and some of the people on the list dont even have albums out so MTV your lost credit to alot of fans u even did a poll which eminem had over half the votes for so we dont count when were the people who buy the albums sort your shit out
