Nas – Hero

Check out the first official single from Nas’ UNTITLED album “Hero.” Definitely a hot track the hardest track out right now, I don’t care what the album is called as long as it’s good music. It’s crazy that Nas came out in 1992 and is still one of the best rappers.

Listen man i got some serious questions for you kid.
I wanna know what your opinion on Album leaks are. Since you a official dude, here’s some questions you could answer for me please:
1. What is the notivation behind album leaks?
2. What is your opinion on the whole phenomenon of “Leaks”?
3.Have you ever wanted to get a song before it came out?
4.Why can’t you wait until the day it comes out?
5.Does your obsession with an artist make you want the album as soon as possible?
6.Do you feel guilty when albims are leaked?
7.Do you leak or know someone who leaks?
8. What are the advantages and disadvantages of leaking?

not answering for him but
One of the best rappers,
you get to hear his tracks of this unreleased album, aint curious?
As a hip-hop music lover, on hiphopmusicdotcom..! , im sure you gots to know more than most people about the album at day of release.
those leaks also makes you have a better view of what this album’s like. Kanye did with stronger snippet,
didn’t that make you wanna buy the album at dayofrelease?

They are three types of leaks:
(1)Official Leaks: done by the record or the artist to create buzz and to increase anticipation for an album.
(2)Third Party Authority Leaks: with the consent of the artist of the record label, these leaks done by radio DJ’s, very popular mixtape DJ’s and authority media websites, news sites and blogs such as ourselves. Usually you have to be on a special mailing list or get it directly from the artist, the label, or the people who manages that particular artist.
(3)Unofficial leaks: Somehow someway songs and albums make it into the wrong hands and they leak things that where not suppose to released yet, these leaks are usually driven by greed. People who are looking to capitalize on a product that is not theirs such as bootleggers selling it cheaper than the retail price for a profit with no credit to the artist or record label or website owners looking to get a few more hits to there website by providing a free download link.
the first two are good leaks and they help the artist but the third is destroying the music industry especially hip hop. You can’t say you love hip hop and then not support your favorite artist that’s putting in work.

For example look at DJ Chuck who leaked Lil Wayne’s The Carter III, that was not cool to do to an artist like Lil Wayne who has worked so hard the past 2 years to create a buzz. I’m not saying what lil wayne said about Mixtape DJ’s was ok but as a DJ you don’t go around leaking official albums, that makes it bad for the rest of us (DJ’s, bloggers, webmasters etc.
