Rick Ross Deeper Than Rap First Week Sales Are In

Rick Ross debuts at number 1 this week with 158k copies sold for his third album Deeper Than Rap, His previous albums debuted at 187k(06) and 198k(08) so his latest numbers are his worst compared to the previous ones but is by no means a failure when Jadakiss sold 135k and is considered a success.
Also Asher Roth sold 65k with his debut album, “Asleep in the Bread Aisle.”
With all the publicity the beef with 50 Cent created and the heavy promotion that Deeper Than Rap received I did expected the numbers to be a little higher, but people just aren’t buying music like that anymore, at least not on a retail level.
So with the first week sales in, who won the battle, Rick Ross or 50 Cent?

Its hard to say who really won, you gotta remember the fact that we goin through somewhat of a recession. Ross’s numbers could have been a lot higher. Im not a 50 fan but I gotta say that he won.

in this economy, those are pretty respectable first week numbers, so you gotta give it to ross… and T.O.S. was fucking terrible besides that joint Straight Outta Southside which was thanks to Ron Browz, who produced the track… game and buck were the hardest dudes in the unit… all i gotta say is if 50 ever does come out with another album, he better sell more than that in the first week — theres no fucking excuses for that man, he’s got 10 times as much money as ross and he’s got dre/em on his side… 50 really fell off after he got that vitamin water deal… by the way eminems new shit sounds fucking AWFUL, too bad he’s got a whole radio station that kisses his ass 24/7

I havent heard anything off of Ross’s new album, but if its the same old bullshit about how hes the biggest coke pusher in miami, boss, blah blah well, his sale are only going to get worse. 50 and ross’s music are the same, they just come from different city’s. all it is, is money money money. alot of people had good points. with the recession and shit, sales are going to be down for everybody. However makaveli had a goodpoint, Ross said he was going to sell 12 million, and in the first week, only sold 158 thousand? not very impressed. And to compare Ross’s ales to jadakiss sales, well isnt relevant as Ross is on a whole other level then jada. As far as ross and 50’s battle go? who knows if its over. Chozen predicted that after Ross’s album dropped, 50 was going to attack again. I could definitly see that happening.

K Ross sold in the hundred thousands the first week in everyone of his CD’s.
50 sold not a million but OVER a MILLION his first week of sales on his first 2 CD’s
then did six hundred eighty copies the first week on his worst album. And Officer Ricky’s total sales for his 3 albums are 1 million then 5 hundred thousand and then 4 hundred thousand. Fifty’s total was 12.3 million, then 10 million then 5 million. Check for your self and then think about how 50’s worst album sold more then ALL of ross’s albums combined. I’m not a big fan of either but 50 is on a WHOLE DIFFERENT LEVEL THEN OFFICER RICKY. PEACE
