…Speaking of Jim Jones, he and cats like The Game stay throwing shots at you, referring to you as old and washed-up. But you’ve always thrived off that type of competition. So, currently in the most comfortable position of your career, how competitive are you?
Not really that competitive, because the competition isn’t based on real competition. I mean, Game, I’m his fuckin idol. If you ask him and he’s being truthfully honest with you…it’s just based off his insecurities and, for the most part, pretension. That type of competition doesn’t do anything for me. It’s almost like someone trying to set you up, and everyone knows they’re to set you up, and everybody. It’s just dumb. It’s not in the spirit of competition, because he’s not competition for me. He’s not. Not then, not ever—he’d have to improve considerably. Competition for me competition is Nas, Eminem. Like Jim Jones? That’s ridiculous to me. So how do I respond to that? I can’t win. If I win, then they’ll be like, “See. Now chill. You’re a fuckin’ bully.” And if manages to throw a haymaker from the West Coast, then it’s like “Oooooh.” It’s not even fun. Like, before I did it, because I would diss anybody. Now who has time to do this shit everyday? But before, when I was running after the little fat nigga from Ma$e’s camp, I was doing anybody. Anybody said anything. If I thought you said something. When I was running in the streets, I wanted all that type of activity. Nobody wanted nothing. Now everybody’s a tough guy.

Agree 100 percent, anybody ever notice the only time Jim Jones is relevant is when he’s talking about Jay-Z? Just look at all any future headline or listen to any upcoming track, I bullshit you not. The full Interview will be in this month’s XXL magazine.

Juelz Santana Confirm No Dip Set Reunion With Camron

No reunion with Cam seems just fine with Juelz Santana. On the Manhattan set of the Skull Gang video for “I Am the Club,” Santana said Cam’s revelation was a relief.
“I’m just glad that people get to see the type of person he really is,” Juelz said. “Once again, he said a lot of things about Jim — [talking to] him, which I don’t really know about. We all had separate relationships at the end of the day. [Cam] has yet to tell people what Juelz did. You dig what I’m saying? Let’s be serious. At the end of the day, [Cam] can’t look in the mirror when it comes to me. He knows how loyal I was to him,” Santana continued. “He knows how much of a brother I was to him.”
According to Juelz, Cam’s declaration of not wanting to record with him and Jim Jones makes it easier to explain to the fans.
“It kind of makes me feel good, ’cause it lets the people know you don’t have to ask me that [reunion] question. He’s telling y’all. ‘No matter what the fans want, I’m not doing it.’ It takes a load off my back. Cam gave y’all the answer. He’s the boss. He’s always been the boss. I never tried to take that way from him. It is what it is. I’m moving forward. We all got kids. I got family, my peoples got families. We’re moving forward.”
Just like Cam is focusing on making music on the solo side and with his new crew, the U.N., Juelz wants his own group of artists to blow up. He recently secured an album deal for the Skull Gang, and their self-titled LP is due out May 5.

First Week Album Sales For Jim Jones & Keri Hilson

Keri Hilson’s, “In A Perfect World,” debuts with a acceptable 94k units sold which isn’t bad for new artist in this type of economic climate, while Jim Jones first week sales for, “Pray IV Reign,” was a less than spectacular 43k. Pop Champagne was a big record but Jim Jones failed to follow up with a noteworthy second single. Should be quite interesting to see how these albums will perform in the coming weeks.

With these type of numbers from two artist that had hit singles, how will upcoming projects from Jadakiss and Rick Ross perform on the charts, being that they both didn’t have any big singles.
