The homie Mavado just recently signed to DJ Khaled’s “We The Best Music Group” and now we have the first offering from the venture called “Emergency” featuring flagship artist Ace Hood. For those living under a rock Mavado is one of the biggest artists in Jamaica, already fully established and probably only second to Vybz Kartel.

Who didn’t see this remix coming? DJ Khaled recruits everybody and their mother for the remix to his “Welcome To My Hood”. The features include Ludacris, T-Pain, Busta Rhymes, Mavado, Twista, Birdman, Ace Hood, Fat Joe, Jadakiss, Bun B, Game & Waka Flocka. Phew, did you guys catch that?

Another one from Khaled titled All Mt Life featuring Akon, Shyne & Mavado, these are the first bars we’ve heard from Shyne since his release from prison. Not really feeling it though Shyne doesn’t sound polished at all (no pun intended), or maybe this just needs to be mixed more, thoughts?

As most of you know I’m Jamaican and I take every opportunity to let people know, and every now and then I slip a Reggae track here and there. For those of you who don’t know Mavado & Vybz Kartel are currently two of the biggest Reggae artists. Vybz Kartel is a protege of Beanie Man and Movado is a protege of Bounty Killer, so it’s only natural that they would have issues with each other. Vybz Kartel represents the Gaza set (I’m Gaza by the way) and Movado reps Gully.
