As more and more of our favorite rappers get older and older, the spotlight still remains on whoever manages to make the hottest songs. Naledge reached out to us a few months ago with the interest in having illRoots present his next solo mixtape, the well rounded Twenty Something with DJ Moondawg. A really great project with features from Freddie Gibbs, Skyzoo, GLC, Murs, Mikkey Halsted and others.

Due to the recent violent death of Derrion Albert and with fewer than 200 homicides since the beginning of the year killings in Chicago, these tragedies have not only attracted worldwide press, but major recording artists David Banner, Rhymefest, Naledge, Skooda Chose, 9th Wonder & Twista, have united to raise awareness of violence among urban youth within Chicago by organizing an Anti-Violence rally. The rally will serve as a creative canvas and backdrop for the video shoot of the release of the song “Something’s Wrong.”
