In a recent letter sent to StraightFromTheA, Big Meech says:

There is no person in the Federal or State system that can say or saying that “T.I. Clifford Harris” snitched on them.

I’m tired of people spraying his name when his plea deal and sentencing transcripts is “ONLINE.” You pay $40 to get on “Pacer” and you have access to all court documents on any person in the “UNITED STATES.”

New T.I. surfaces on the mixtape 2012 Vol 2 from DJ Scream and DJ MLK.

Tyga basically puts together all the hottest freestyles from Wale, Fabolous, Meek Mill, Young Jeezy & T.I. done for his smash Rack City single, and make it the official remix.

T.I. & Young Jeezy remixes B.o.B’s Strange Clouds single which originally featured Lil Wayne. Being that these two hinted at maybe dropping a collaboration LP, don’t be surprised if the remix numerous singles throughout the year.

A few months ago, Young Jeezy hinted at the possibility of linking up with Tip for a collabo effort, and during a recent interview T.I. bolstered the rumor even more.

“Jeezy and I, we have discussed doing a collaborative album. Right now, we’re both focused on putting Atlanta back on top where we once knew it to be,” T.I. explained.

“In my absence, I’ve seen the city take a backseat, if you will, to other areas and other regions. I’m not trying to sleight nobody’s efforts or nobody’s contributions to the game, but I know what my city represents and I know what my city’s capable of. And if I feel like we’re not living up to our full potential, I’m going to gather all the cats who I know who supposed to ride for the town like I ride and we gon’ get it back right. So that’s what we focused on right now. After we do that, then we can focus on anything else. But first is first.” (Los Angeles Leakers)

Back in October, Snowman touched on the possibility of getting together with T.I. for a Watch The Throne type of effort.

“Me and Tip actually were together and we [talked] about it,” he said. “We’ve just hit the ground running and been doing so many records that I don’t think it’s impossible. And we’ve known each other [long] enough to put something like that together, and I definitely think that the city would need it, because it would be a good look. And it would be an amazing album release party, by the way.” (Billboard)

What up world? Been a minute. I’d like to thank you all for the thousands of letters, cards, books, pictures and words of encouragement. I’m truly grateful. I’m sure you already know I’m nearing the end of this chapter of my life, and looking forward to taking all of the things I’ve learned with me while leaving all the rest of the “BS” behind. I’ve been tuned in somewhat to what’s been happening out there. I can’t even begin to tell y’all how much being on the outside looking in, having to witness all that’s going on (and not going on) in the game affects me. Not being able to do what I love especially. It’s like a whole other sentence within itself. But I really do appreciate all the love, respect, shout outs and salutations during this very difficult period in my life. Everybody from da homies Weezy, Killa Mike, R. Rozay my lil bruh B.o.B, Terrence J (106 & Park) and my “durty” Nelly. Regardless of whether the gestures were the greatest or the smallest, they still meant the world to me. REAL TALK. First off let me just say I’m a huge T.I., ever since I’m Serious I’ve been sold on this guy and his album K.I.N.G is one of my favorite Hip Hop albums of the last ten years, period. Not to mention around that time I was doing some street related things and when I listen to that album it takes be right back. That being said I don’t know if T.I.P. can return to his former glory, he messed up big time the first time around and then as soon as he gains his freedom he’s right back in the slammer over some dumb shit. Only time will tell though, I just hope he doesn’t go the route of DMX because that would be tragic, what y’all think?

How did you get a drug habit?

I had a lot of work done to my teeth. Oral surgery, extractions, six, seven, eight root canals. Between January to February. As soon as I got out, I had a lot of stuff done. In the joint, you eat shit that is unhealthy for you. I had fillings that fell out and stuff that had to get dealt with. Of course for the pain they gave me oxycontin and hydrocodone. And, mind you, on October 13, 2007, I had cut off everything?weed, alcohol. Then I get these pills and I start taking them for the pain at first. And then I’m like, Wait?this shit makes me feel good. And it’s legal. After the pain went away, I kept taking it. I had like five, six prescriptions. So I had, like 80 pills. Everybody else might have a drink or smoke a blunt, I took a pain pill. Times when I had 18, 20-hour days, I’d take a pain pill. And eventually I developed?I guess?the beginning stages of dependence.

Have you talked to Eminem about addiction?

Sure. We got a record together, and we talked a lot. I asked him how he knew he was an addict. Basically if you put yourself in harm’s way… if you risk that, you’ve got to assume that there is something fundamentally wrong with your thought process.

TMZ is reporting that T.I. won’t be charged in L.A. drug arrest, but he’s still guilty of parole violation, which is really all the LAPD wanted to accomplished anyway.

According to the D.A.’s Office, they are not going forward with charges because, in essence, he’s already been sentenced to prison since the arrest was a violation of his federal probation.

However, law enforcement sources tell TMZ, there were significant legal issues over probable cause which led to T.I.’s arrest.

Cops claimed they smelled marijuana but no pot was ever booked into evidence. And, we’re told… T.I. was pulled out of his $250,000 Maybach immediately after he made the illegal U-turn and prior to any registration check.

T.I. Gets 11 More Months in Prison, now that’s a title Hip Hop could have done without. Earlier in the year I wrote “Say Good By to Lil Wayne & Hello T.I.” and now it’s in reverse. T.I. is one of my favorite artists but every time this guy takes a step forward he takes two back. It’s a given we all make mistakes and he just got off easy for one of the biggest mistakes of his life, to now go back to the slammer for some silly shit. I guess once bitten isn’t necessarily twice shy. Now his music , career and label will suffer. So much for King Uncaged (chuckle).

T.I. was still on probation for federal weapons charges when he was arrested Sept. 1 on drug charges in Los Angeles. He and his wife, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, were taken into custody during a traffic stop in West Hollywood in which deputies said they smelled a strong odor of marijuana from inside the car. They were soon released on bond.

After the arrest, a U.S. probation officer alleged that T.I. committed three violations of his supervised release from prison: possessing ecstasy, testing positive for opiates and associating with a convicted felon. Pannell then ordered T.I. to appear back before him in court on Friday.

TMZ is also reporting that one of the officers from Wednesday’s jumper incident testified on T.I.’s behalf. Of course we all knew that would happen.

TMZ is reporting that Tip assisted the police in talking a suicidal man down from a 22 story high ledge in downtown Atlanta earlier today. I’m going have to file this under “titles I never thought I would write”.

According to TMZ:

It all went down earlier this afternoon — when cops responded to a 911 call about a man who was threatening to jump off a building in downtown Atlanta … the same building where the Ryan Cameron Radio Show is based.

We’re told T.I. heard about the jumper on the radio — and called Ryan Cameron to see if there was anything he could do to help out with the situation.

Ryan Cameron tells us … he told T.I. to roll over to the building, where the rapper met with police and recorded a heartfelt video message which cops then played for the man on the roof.

We’re told after the man saw T.I.’s video he agreed to step off the ledge … and met T.I. in the lobby, where the two were able to talk things out.

Tip’s attorneys will definitely try to use this to work in his favor to keep him out of jail for his latest fuckup incident.

Rapper T.I. and his wife Tameka “Tiny” Cottle were arrested in Los Angeles on Wednesday night for alleged possession of a controlled substance.

According to an arrest report on the incident from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, during the course of a traffic stop involving Tip (born Clifford Harris Jr.), 29, and Cottle, 36, on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood at 10:30 p.m., “deputies smelled a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle.”

A narcotics investigation followed and both Tiny and T.I. were “found to be in possession of a controlled substance.” Law enforcement sources tell us L.A. County Sheriff‘s deputies pulled over the multi-platinum selling rapper and his wife in a Maybach on Sunset Boulevard around 10:18PM. Deputies say they smelled marijuana.

Law enforcement sources tell us the controlled substance was not cocaine, but rather the class of controlled substance that triggered the arrest includes methamphetamines and ecstasy. Take a close look at the photo of T.I. getting arrested … and focus on the styrofoam cups in the front and back cupholders … although cops aren’t saying which controlled substance they found in the car, there seems to be evidence of Sizzurp … aka purple drank … aka codeine syrup. A form of codeine falls under the class of drugs for which T.I. and his wife, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, were arrested.
– Codeine is the main ingredient in Sizzurp, which is a growing problem in the South.

– Sizzurp is typically ingested in styrofoam cups … it’s become a “thing” in the hip-hop community.

Cops won’t say specifically which drug they found, though our sources say it’s the class of drugs that does indeed include the main ingredient for Sizzurp.

Both T.I. and Tiny were booked at the West Hollywood sheriff’s station on charges of felony possession of a controlled substance, and bail was set at $10,000 each. Deputy Jeff Gordon confirmed on Thursday morning (September 2) that both had posted bail around 4 a.m. PT and were due back in court on the charges on September 3. A spokesperson for T.I.’s label could not be reached for comment early Thursday morning.

Tip, who celebrated the #1 debut of his film “Takers” last weekend, is on federal probation following a seven-month prison term he completed in March on weapons charges. At press time, Gordon said considering T.I. was allowed to post bail on the drug charge, it did not appear that the rapper’s probation from the federal charge would be impacted by Wednesday night’s arrest.

Update:T.I.’s Maybach was pulled over because they made an illegal U-turn. The cops then smelled the weed aroma and decided to search the car. TMZ is now alledging that they found methamphetamines and ecstasy in the car and that both T.I. and his wife might be facing up to a year (Tiny had been stopped for weed and ecstasy in the past.)

XXLMag.com has learned that T.I. was released from prison this morning (December 22) and will be admitted into a halfway house in his hometown of Atlanta, later today.

XXL spoke with Tip’s lead defense attorney in his federal gun case, Steve Sadow, who confirmed the news. “He was released this morning from his place of incarceration in Arkansas,” Sadow said. “As I understand it, he’s on his way back to the Atlanta area. He has to report to a halfway house in Atlanta sometime this evening. And he will then spend somewhere between the next two or three months in a halfway house, ending his Bureau of Prison sentence.“

According to Sadow, T.I. will have a lot more freedom under his new living conditions. “A halfway house is more along the lines of a residential dormitory,” he explained of the rap star’s new stipulations. “You live within this house that is broken into areas for living, and you are permitted to leave during the day for certain reasons of which would be employment, medical reasons, things of that nature, and you return to the halfway house in the evening. So it’s a restriction on your liberty but it’s a way for you to reenter into society and not be confined within a jail type institution 24-hours a day.”

T.I. has been serving time in Arkansas’ Forrest City Prison since May 26, for possession of unregistered machine guns and silencers, as well as firearms from a convicted felon. He is expected to be finished with his federal sentence in March of 2010.
