    Have you considered that the Christian undertones were perhaps deliberate and that T.I. is being literal when he says,

    “The old me is dead and gone…” ?

    The fact that it’s not at all subtle suggests that it is entirely implied and not an undertone at all.

    The line that Timberlake sings,

    “So I turn my head to the north, swallow that pill that they call pride…”

    Sounds to me like whoever wrote that track has done some serious thinking about their life and put themselves right with God – Not at all an easy pill to swallow.
